Commerce between the United States and Mexico, structured properly.

The opportunity, handled practically

A practical partner for cross-border trade

Mexico is one of the largest trading partners of the United States, and the corridor between the two countries is no longer reserved for multinationals. Marketplaces, logistics networks, and payment systems now make it realistic for a mid-size company to sell and fulfill on both sides of the border. What has not changed is the friction: documentation, compliance obligations, language, and the operational details that decide whether an order arrives on time.

CalMex C-Commerce exists to absorb that friction. From our base in Fort Myers, Florida, we work with companies across the state and well beyond it, coordinating the operational side of cross-border commerce so that owners and export managers can focus on their products and customers. The practice is led by Ryan Sasser, Principal, and is deliberately small and hands-on.

What we do

Four service lines, one coordinated practice

Most of our work falls into four connected areas.

  1. 01

    Cross-border e-commerce operations

We help you list, sell, and manage orders on US and Mexican sales channels, keeping product data, inventory, and customer communication consistent across the border.

  2. 02

    Fulfillment coordination

We coordinate warehousing, carrier selection, and order handoffs between US and Mexican fulfillment points, so shipments move predictably instead of being renegotiated every week.

  3. 03

    Trade documentation & compliance support

We prepare and review the documentation cross-border orders depend on, keeping your processes aligned with current customs and trade requirements on both sides.

  4. 04

    Market-entry research

Before you commit capital, we research demand, competition, channels, and entry requirements for your product category in Mexico, and report the findings in plain language.

How an engagement runs

A structured path from first call to steady operations

Every engagement moves through the same four phases.

Phase one

Discover

We start with a working session on your products, customers, and current operations, looking for what you do well and where the border creates friction.

Phase two

Structure

We map the operating model: channels, fulfillment points, documentation responsibilities, and timelines. You receive a written plan before any operational work begins.

Phase three

Operate

We run the day-to-day coordination: orders, documentation, and partner communication, reporting status on an agreed rhythm rather than on request.

Phase four

Review

On a set cadence we review volumes, exceptions, and compliance posture, and we adjust the setup as your business and the regulations change.

Who we serve

Built for traffic in both directions

Retail goods being prepared for sale across the US-Mexico corridor

For US companies heading south

American small and mid-size companies that want to sell into Mexico without building a full foreign operation. We structure the channel, coordinate fulfillment, and keep the paperwork moving.

Products being readied for distribution into the United States market

For Mexican companies heading north

Mexican businesses entering the United States market. We assist with operational setup, order handling, documentation support, and the practical questions of selling in a new geography.

Trade, done carefully, is not a risk to be managed. It is an advantage to be kept.
